The Preferences window has several pages which are accessed 
with a popup menu, the keyboard, or the arrow buttons.

Use the arrow buttons to go from one topic to the next, or use the popup menu to go directly to any topic. You can also use the command-key with the right and left arrow keys to go to the previous or next page.

Use the command-key with the appropriate page number or to go directly to that page.

Changes made to the Preferences are effective immediately, not when the window is closed.
